Foods You Should be Eating - Fenugreek

Fenugreek is a Mediterranean herb known to relieve menstrual cramps, lower cholesterol levels, reduce the effects of menopause, and help control diabetes... let's take a closer look.

What is Fenugreek?  The word Fenugreek means "Greek hay" and is similar to clover.  Production ranges from Morroco to Nepal to France to China.  The seeds are used in curries, pickles, and other Mediterranean dishes.  The leaves and microgreens are also used but the seeds are the most used part of the plant.  The seeds have been used for a long time in Chinese medicine and are considered a warming herb.  They also are widely used to increase lactation in nursing mothers.
